Build-Up & Blockage Clearing Systems Bin-Silos (3 Products)

Force Vector is a sister company to Deca Vibrator, providing complementary products and services to our bulk material handling solutions

A major advantage of Cardox CO² system is its ability to clear blockages and build up while your plant is running at full capacity.

Most blockages can be cleared in hours, not days or weeks to keep plants running at peak capacity and avoiding costly downtime scenarios. Cardox CO² system tubes can be recharged and reused to provide a long term, cost-conscious solution for keeping process streams flowing freely.

Cardox CO² tubes can be inserted through small sockets mounted onto the vessel wall or through inspection hatches around the silo. Orienting the concentrated CO² charge directly towards the blockage and away from the vessel avoids any possibility of damage.

In business for more than 30 years as a leading global provider of Cardox CO² non-detonating blasting systems, Force Vector, Inc. technicians have literally traveled the globe to free thousands of silos, feed mills, and hoppers from build-up of stubbornly adhered and tightly compacted materials that cause dangerous blockages and prevent the free flow of material in process streams.

Why We Use Cardox for Build up and Blockage Clearing

Cardox is widely recognized as the most efficient way and reliable means of clearing build ups and blockages.  Whether grain, flour, maize, soya, salt, sugar, cement, gypsum, coal, fertilizer, catalyst, ores, powders etc. The powerful Cardox System provides the ultimate solution to clear even the most difficult of build ups.

Each and every time you use a Cardox Tube you instantly release a cold heaving mas of CO2 that expands 600 times its original volume!….. At pressures which can be regulated from 1,200 bar (18,000 psi) to 3,000 bar (40,000 psi).

Application of the Cardox system can achieved by implementing Cardox Tubes by dropping them from above access port on the top of silo’s or by applying a wide range of Cardox Socket configurations on the side of silo’s, at the base or adapting to existing flanged entry points. Also can be used in dry storage bunkers, coal bunkers, and open storage piles where storage piles have become hardened.
Cardox consists of a high strength reusable steel tube filled with liquid carbon dioxide, a chemical heater and a rupture disc.

When energized by the application of a small electrical charge, the chemical heater instantly converts the liquid carbon dioxide to a gas. This conversion expands the CO2 volume and builds up pressure inside the tube until it causes the rupture disc at the end of the tube to burst. This releases the CO2 – now 600 times the original volume – through a special discharge nozzle to create a powerful heaving force, at pressures up to 40,000psi (3,000bar). This all takes place in milliseconds. Carbon dioxide gas is an inert gas that is commonly used in fire extinguishers, so it is safe to use without fear of generating secondary reaction with gases in the vessel/silo. In addition the quick release of the gas refrigerates the discharge, bringing it to a temperature low enough to avoid ignition of any air-gas mixtures inside the blocked vessel.

Consult with a Deca Vibrator Industries Inc applications specialist to develop the most cost effective, safe and logistically correct collaborative approach to removing build and blockages that are diminishing your storage capacity or production capabilities.
